Algomo on IKEA
IKEA sells furniture and home furnishings through its stores and online. This demo runs on its UK website.
We added Algomo to IKEA's public website ourselves, without any help or setup from IKEA, and recorded a visitor using it. The prices, stock and pages in the video are IKEA's own, as the site showed them that day.
This is a demo on IKEA's public website. IKEA is not an Algomo customer. IKEA did not make or endorse this demo.
Don't believe it? Open the live demo and ask: “Find standing desks under £300.”
Try Algomo on IKEA yourselfWhat the recording shows
3 things Algomo does on IKEA's site, each with the moment it happens.
Live answers
The shopper needs a standing desk under £300 for a flat in Bristol. IKEA's results open beside the chat, and Algomo picks three, each with today's price and the stock at IKEA Bristol, read from IKEA's live site as they ask.
Co-navigation
They open the TRAVSPORT desk from the chat, and its page opens beside it.
None of the 47 competitor bots we tested in September 2026 opened a page for the visitor.
Widgets
They ask if it fits an alcove 130 cm wide. Algomo quotes the measurements on IKEA's page: the desk is 120 cm wide, so 10 cm to spare.
4 of the 47 competitor bots we tested in September 2026 showed a card in the chat.
Not in this demo
It does not add to basket, reserve or check out.
The shopper does not choose the chair and the lamp. Algomo suggests them: the chair IKEA sells with the TRAVSPORT as a set, and IKEA's best-rated work lamp.
How it helps the shopper
Shoppers weigh up a few options before they buy. These are the parts of that the video shows.

Questions before a call
Is IKEA an Algomo customer?
No. These brands are not Algomo customers, and they did not make or endorse these demos. We added Algomo to their public websites ourselves, without any help or setup from them. Prices, stock and reviews come from the website at that moment, so they change from day to day. Nothing is bought or booked in the videos. All names and trademarks belong to their owners.
How long until it is live on our site?
One snippet and a URL. The agent reads the pages the site already serves and builds its tools from the endpoints those pages call. Systems that only staff can reach are connected with help, on Business and Enterprise.
Where do the answers come from, and what happens when the site changes?
From the live page and the site's own APIs, called in the visitor's session. A watchdog watches every connection and rebuilds a mapping when a redesign breaks it, so the next answer reads the changed page.
What does a conversation cost, and what does a failed one cost?
A conversation that actually helped someone costs five credits. One that went nowhere costs nothing. The plan sets the monthly credits, there is no overage, and no charge is ever added to the amount picked.
Who can change the agent once it is live?
AI agents, over MCP, from Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, and anyone in the dashboard. Every change is staged in a session with a diff and saved in one step, so a person sees what changed before it is live.
What happens when a visitor needs a person?
Handover is built in. The person on the team gets the whole conversation, and escalation routing is set up with help on the Business plan.
What data leaves the visitor's browser?
Connectors run inside the visitor's own session, so their prices, region and basket stay where they are. Enterprise plans add a DPA, retention controls, SSO and a security review.
Can the same test run against the chat we have today?
Yes. The same questions to the current chat and to Algomo, on the site, with the site's own pages as the referee, the way this recording was made.
