Algomo on Airbnb

Airbnb is a marketplace for short stays in homes and rooms, with prices set by each host and date.

We added Algomo to Airbnb's public website ourselves, without any help or setup from Airbnb, and recorded a visitor using it. The prices, stock and pages in the video are Airbnb's own, as the site showed them that day.

This is a demo on Airbnb's public website. Airbnb is not an Algomo customer. Airbnb did not make or endorse this demo.

Don't believe it? Open the live demo and ask: “Show 3 stays in Athens for 2 adults, October 16 to 19, 2026.”

What the recording shows

4 things Algomo does on Airbnb's site, each with the moment it happens.

Proactive message

A group of friends types Lisbon into Airbnb's own search. Algomo speaks first and asks when they are going and how many of them there are.

Co-navigation

There are four of them, and they need a lift and an easy walk to Time Out Market. Algomo runs Airbnb's search with the lift as one of Airbnb's own filters, and puts 12 picks on a map beside the chat, each with its price for their dates and its walk to the market.

None of the 47 competitor bots we tested in September 2026 opened a page for the visitor.

Widgets

They ask to compare the places they opened. One card sets out all four, each must-have checked against the listing, with the walk to the market.

4 of the 47 competitor bots we tested in September 2026 showed a card in the chat.

Live answers

They come back later, and the chat opens with the places they looked at, each price checked again. They ask which is the quietest. Algomo counts noise complaints in recent reviews of each place: Bairro Alto Premium Apartment has 1 in 24 reviews since August 2025. Then it quotes what guests warn about there.

Not in this demo

Nothing is booked or paid for.

The return visit was recorded about half an hour after the first, and the video joins the two.

For the return visit, one listing's price was lowered by £40 for the recording, so the card has a change to show. The other prices are as Airbnb showed them.

How it helps the shopper

Shoppers weigh up a few options before they buy. These are the parts of that the video shows.

Questions before a call

Is Airbnb an Algomo customer?

No. These brands are not Algomo customers, and they did not make or endorse these demos. We added Algomo to their public websites ourselves, without any help or setup from them. Prices, stock and reviews come from the website at that moment, so they change from day to day. Nothing is bought or booked in the videos. All names and trademarks belong to their owners.

How long until it is live on our site?

One snippet and a URL. The agent reads the pages the site already serves and builds its tools from the endpoints those pages call. Systems that only staff can reach are connected with help, on Business and Enterprise.

Where do the answers come from, and what happens when the site changes?

From the live page and the site's own APIs, called in the visitor's session. A watchdog watches every connection and rebuilds a mapping when a redesign breaks it, so the next answer reads the changed page.

What does a conversation cost, and what does a failed one cost?

A conversation that actually helped someone costs five credits. One that went nowhere costs nothing. The plan sets the monthly credits, there is no overage, and no charge is ever added to the amount picked.

Who can change the agent once it is live?

AI agents, over MCP, from Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, and anyone in the dashboard. Every change is staged in a session with a diff and saved in one step, so a person sees what changed before it is live.

What happens when a visitor needs a person?

Handover is built in. The person on the team gets the whole conversation, and escalation routing is set up with help on the Business plan.

What data leaves the visitor's browser?

Connectors run inside the visitor's own session, so their prices, region and basket stay where they are. Enterprise plans add a DPA, retention controls, SSO and a security review.

Can the same test run against the chat we have today?

Yes. The same questions to the current chat and to Algomo, on the site, with the site's own pages as the referee, the way this recording was made.
